Some laptops have a problem that prevents the brightness settings from being changed, which causes the battery to run out of power before the end of the day. The following workaround can be used but may not work with everyone:
Press the Windows key (the one on the right of the Fn) + X and this window should appear.
Now you can adjust the slider under "Display brightness" to any level you wish.
If the window does not appear, you have to wait for the next time the laptops are re-imaged.
